Restoring land critical for endangered species

Addressing the issue of urgency - if we are to succeed - we’ll need an enormous amount of labor to restore land without many years of delay for invasive species removal, plantings and wait times for plants to reach maturity to provide pollen and nectar. The pervasive presence of invasive species contributes to the loss of habitat as sites for potential refuge are overrun with non-beneficial species out-competing for resources.

Limited funding and lack of man-power may make it seem like an impossible task to regain our land. We’ve been stuck in never-ending cycles of chemical use and partial removal to little avail at many restoration sites. Monetizing invasive species as resources, combined with agreements to access land to divide and use native plants will address both our urgent need for chemical-free plant sources, while also funding the labor needed to take a more surgical approach to land-management.
